The Greens with Mr. Santiago

No, this wasn't a drug deal. Steven Santiago of AnotherVision Photography invited me to sit in on a shoot he was doing for Charro. Steven's work has grown traumatically from the first time I've seen his portraits to the current day.
Each shot isn't over edited or to harsh, he seems to have the vision of what he wants to do and gets it done. Can't argue with simplicity and clean, I recently downloaded a tutorial DVD by Zach Arias. The Collection is entitled "OneLight" showing that even with one off camera light and the correct composures and settings, you can produce some of the most stunning work.

If you haven't seen it I would definately make sure to however you can get your hands on it, saying it would open your eyes to all aspects of off camera lighting would be an understatement. But you can only take in so much knowledge from watching it done and reading up on it. Steven undoubtedly showed me all the skills in action. Armed with a AB800, a light stand, trigger, receiver, His camera, and a couple lenses; the result was nothing less than attention grabbing. Already seeing his past work and what he was capable of it wasn't a major surprise to me, but watching the way he goes about capturing and moving from one set to another added to the curiosity I've had about shooting portraits, after seeing what Steven can do with just one light. Always excited to see his new work and what new techniques he comes up with. Set is Here.
